Clive Myers: FCCA
Clive qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1992. He worked for a medium sized, London based, accountancy practice until 1996 as a Tax manager. Clive then joined a fast growing IT company in the City where he worked heading up the Finance team for a period of 9 years. In 2005 Clive started Myers &Co., wanting to strike out and be his own boss.
Anna Myers: MAAT
Anna is an Accounting Technician and holds the AAT qualification. Since finishing her GCSEs, Anna has worked at Myers & Co for the last five years. The AAT qualification has given her a large range of technical knowledge, which she applies in her work for our clients. She is well versed in the use of accounting software; being advisor certified in Xero, as well as proficient in Excel and Sage.
James Myers: BA
James qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2024 with the ACCA. This has been a huge career milestone, and so James is now working on deepening his technical experience in order to use the knowledge attained in his qualification. Before this, James graduated from the University of Greenwich with a degree in Business Economics.
James has worked on individual tax returns, business tax calculations and company financial accounts. He has become a certified Xero advisor, and he is adept in using Microsoft Excel.
In his spare time, James enjoys spending time with his family, friends and going for long walks in Epping Forest.
Ashley Bunten: BSC. ATT
Ashley graduated from Reading University with a BSC in Pure Maths. From there she joined a Mid tier firm of Accountants in Essex. She qualified as a member of the Association of Tax Technicians in mid 1990.
She joined Myers & Co in 2007 and works dealing primarily with clients personal tax affairs. She has a keen eye for detail and a great aptitude for interpreting HMRC’s complicated tax rules.
SHERRY WRIGHT: MAAT
After leaving school, Sherry worked in the City of London for over 21 years, in a variety of roles based around international banking. Following a career break to raise children, Sherry decided to take a different career path and retrained in accounting, qualifying as an Accounting Technician in February 2018.
Sherry has now extended her work to include accounts preparation and tax returns, which now fully utilises her AAT qualification and develops her skills further. She has also gained certification with the software provider Xero.
Julie Wells: AICB
Julie has worked in a variety of roles within both the public and private sector specialising in Office and HR Management. In 2006 whilst on a small career break she took the opportunity to retrain with the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers and the AAT in order to pursue a career in accounting.
Helen Allibone
Helen worked as a compliance officer for a major Life Assurance Company for 10 years before taking a career break.
She joined Myers & Co. in 2007 and is responsible for the office administration and day to day smooth running of the office.
Helen assists clients with any enquiries they have and deals with much of the written communication to them.
Debbie Myers
Debbie started work in practice some 20 years ago but soon moved into industry where she prepared budgets and management accounts whilst working for The Bank of England Printing Works. After a career break to raise children she has returned to practice and is a qualified Accounting Technician (AAT). Debbie works with clients on their book keeping and vat returns and runs the internal finances of the business.
